When you use Steinbeis paper, you use a product that uses 100% less wood, 73% less energy and 79% less water compared to virgin fibres, and it ensures that used papers are given another lease of life.

Steinbeis is more than just a recycled sheet. The mill is world leading in creating recycled paper with its gentle washing processes, renewable energy and repurposing of waste.
The washing process Steinbeis papers are put through is so gentle, that 80 percent of the waste paper is retained for the final product. The gentle washing technique also means that less energy is required in the recycling process. Only surface water is used in the cleaning process and the substances used during de-inking are deliberately chosen to avoid the environment being harmed.
